Which kind of music is available here?

Filk and roleplaying music is a pure hobby for most. Accordingly most CDs are published in printings of a few hundred pieces only - and that's the whole worldwide print available. Well, if at all: some artists publish their CDs all by themselves (listed as CD-Rs in this shop). In this case worldwide print often only is in the order of two-digit prints. Worldwide. Accordingly small is the stock we can have; sometimes we can't even order back.

We do not have any CDs with a "copy protection" scheme in our shop. Aside the fact that this would make CDs more expensive (1-2 EUR already in the production phase), we think that is not a viable option for paying customers.

Thus our plea: please be fair to the artists, especially the hobby artists! Quite often they publish the CDs out of their own pockets. Thus they can only make the next CD if the last one at least partially has paid off its production costs.

In contrast to commercial "mainstream" productions at small quantities the fix costs of a CD production (mastering, glass master, printing films, small batch fees) make up a major part of CD costs. We still aim to make the CDs available here at a comparable price. But in contrast to mainstream won't demand an astronomical price for new publications, only to dump them and sell them off at a loss half a year later. We will sell all CDs from first to the last piece for the same price (plus/minus exchange rate variations and similar).

Here our deal:

We only have CDs without any of that "copy protection" garbage in our shop, so they will without hickups run on all CD players, DVD systems and computers; they should be simple to transfer to MP3-players and similar.
You don't copy the CDs and do not publish them in online file swapping. When doing so you would hurt exactly those voices you are listening to - and not just some anonymous big corporation.

Be fair. Okay?

And how to order?

Small worldwide available numbers, exchange rate fluctuations and slow publisher shippings make the calculation of stock numbers and prices quite difficult. Thus we designed the following order process:

You order a binding offer from us, e.g. by using the web shop, where we can list only informational prices and availability indicators.
We check our stock and outstanding publisher orders and send you a binding offer, including shipping costs. We are bound to this offer for two weeks. This offer is without any obligation to you.
You accept that offer, e.g. by simply paying the price in advance (if advance payment is agreed upon).
We ship according to our agreement - usually within two weeks.
